Christine made me a yummy beverage that starts as a syrup and ends as a refreshing, oh-my-god this-is-really-good I-want-to-make-it-again drink.

INGREDIENTS

6 medium limes, squeeze 'em baby (you want about 2/3 cup in the end)
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp of ginger

METHOD

  1. Combine sugar, water, ginger, and lime juice in a small saucepan over low heat and stir constantly to melt sugar
  2. Let it start to boil, then turn down to simmer for 1 minute or so
  3. Remove from heat and let cool
  4. In a glass, add ice and fill half with chilled water. Then ladle some of your ginger lime syrup into you drink to your desired sweetness
  5. Then you can throw a little lime wedge or some mint like Christine did
